I bought a cream-colored china cabinet but thought it looked a little too plain. I added some yellow accents to make it more cheery and match the other yellow things in my living room.
I swapped the knobs for some pretty floral ones I bought from Etsy.
I lined the back of the cabinet with some yellow and white printed cotton (also bought from Etsy).
The fabric was attached to the back panel of the cabinet before that board was attached. I found that Glue Dots (meant for scrapbooking) are a great way to hold the fabric in place while you attach it.
The cabinet took a few hours to assemble. Wow, there were a lot of pieces and many different kinds of screws.
Voila!
Before I put this together I was thinking about putting yellow decals on the sides or top, but now I’m wondering if it might be too busy. What do you think about a yellow chrysanthemum on the top, or some yellow frames on the sides?
